Why stay in Music?
It's up to you to keep the tradition alive.
Every year, students in grade 9 enter a very strong program that exists only because of its dedicated senior members in grades 10, 11 and 12. Most of the best musicians and those who have the most musical influence are those who are registered in the program. It isn't guaranteed that those who elect to drop their music course and stay in an ensemble will be allowed to do so.
"Stay [in] the course..."
It's up to the senior members of an ensemble not only to set an example in dedication and behaviour but to continue as musical leaders as well. We entrust the continued success of our choirs and bands to you, the upper-year student, so that all may benefit. At the same time, you will be able to strengthen your own musical skills and stay the course in what is sure to be one of the most memorable parts of your high school career.
