The Jazz Band and Combo performed at the Scarborough Town Centre for the Scarborough Walk of Fame induction ceremony, where one of the honorees was Woburn alumnus Des McAnuff, a recent Tony Award winner for 'best musical'. The Combo also performed at an annual gig in St James's Cathedral.

Woburn singers joined Agincourt and Macdonald choirs, as well as the Mendelssohn Choir and the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra for a performance of Carl Orff's masterwork Carmina Burana.

The Wind Ensemble and Monday Band performed at the OBA Concert Band Festival (Musicfest). Wind Ensemble received GOLD for the second time in three years. The Concert and Madrigal Choirs performed to high acclaim at the Ontario Vocal Festival.

The highlight of the year for many was the trip to Europe, where we visited Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, and Prague. It was an exhilarating excursion to many of the most exciting and musically relevant places in the world!

Back at home, WM hosted a performance in Woburn's Wilcox Auditorium by renowned Finnish choir Rajaton, who were joined by choristers from sixty schools, including six from Woburn.

The Senior Jazz Band performed a two-hour benefit concert in aid of the Woburn Music Foundation and St Dunstan of Canterbury Anglican Church. It was a great success, raising some $1500.

To top off all of these accomplishments, over two hundred and forty students made the decision to CHOOSE MUSIC in 2007/8, and donations to the Foundation were up 640%.
