Remembrance Day
November 6, 2007 08:34 AM

There is a sudden murmur around the music department and throughout the entire school as the choruses are all in preparation for Woburn’s Remembrance Day assembly. Yes, it is an assembly and you do get out of class; but before you start cheering remember the thousands of soldiers our age, which went to war to protect the free democratic society that we live in today. These soldiers were no different from you or me, they had school, families, friends, hobbies and talents, yet they put everything aside to fight for our very own freedom.

This does not deal with Woburn Music to a great extent; however, on November 11th take a moment to comprehend the sacrifice of what young men and women did for our country, and ponder a little easier by listening to the beautiful music the choruses have prepared.

Do not forget to wear your poppy and do not forget what happened on November 11th.
Get your poppies in the Main office with a donation to our veterans.
