What a week it was at Woburn, if you’ve been hiding in a cave or touring on the Europe trip, then you just missed one spirit filled week. Music council had a part to play by performing its annual tradition of selling “Sing Telegrams.” As many of you know, singing telegrams are sold during spirit week; students and teachers buy these telegrams to send to their friends. In turn the Music Council sings a silly song which embarrasses them in front of their home form class. It was a humorous sight to see the Music Council singing and surrounding one unsuspecting student. Students had classic song choices such as the timeless “Skinamarinky Dinky Dink”, Barney’s “I Love You”, the ridiculously funny “Frog Song”, to the affectionate “You Are My Sunshine.” And of course the old school “Stop” by the Spice Girls. The Council sold tickets on Monday through Wednesday during lunch. The telegrams will continue to be sent out throughout the following week after March break. So be on your toes because you just might get an embarrassing telegram next.
The Music council would like to thank everyone who supported by buying a singing telegram. We hope that this will be a continuing Spirit Week tradition for the following years to come. Have a well rested March Break and welcome back Europe trip students.
