Music Banquet 2010
May 24, 2010 11:20 PM
As the Woburn Music year 2010 comes to a close, what would be the best way to end it? Of course, none other than the annual Woburn Music banquet! Whether or not it’s the first banquet for a music student in grade 9, or a graduating grade 12 music student, this banquet shows significant importance to all of us.
The night kicked off with a wonderful dinner – chicken, pasta, rolls, and more. After the delicious dinner, and desert, we saw many award presentations, as well as meaningful speeches. The farewell speech from Amanda and the speech from Megan as the new music council president for next year started off the many events to come. This year’s graduates, triple award winners, quad award winners, Music Council, and the new Music Council Executive were also commemorated. Of course, who could forget about Johnny’s “broth” and “brothel” word mix-up that won the onion award?
A slideshow showing pictures of us Woburn Music students throughout the 2009-2010 school year helped us to remember all of those fun moments, which will be preserved as memories by everyone. And after a beautiful performance of “Hallelujah” by Tristan, Harindra, and Jacob, we all got to what everyone was squirming in their seats for – the dancing.
This will be the last music event of the year 2009-2010 for everyone, and the last music event in high school for many graduating students. Celebrating our year as music students, the Woburn Music banquet 2010 was definitely a night to remember!
